We're off to Dirsek, Turkey

Today we departed Marmaris and set sail for the 2010 cruising season.  After two months of the polishing, painting and varnishing to prepare Gyatso for another season, we don't even mind the first spray of salty water over the bow. In fact it's a real thrill because it means we're off on another adventure.

Tonight we are anchored in Dirsek, a peaceful spot 38 nm from Marmaris.  We're sharing the bay with one other yacht which is tied to the restaurant dock, but the restaurant is closed for the season.  A few goats roamed around the surrounding hillsides, but other than that, there was not much going on in this isolated bay.  We had an impromptu celebration onboard anyways -- we're off!
