Logbook EntryDates: 09/06/08 - 9/08/08 Comments: The day started with great wind for sailing and ended with us motoring through confused seas in light winds -- the swell seemed to be coming from several directions at once making it very uncomfortable near the end of our crossing to Mallorca. We have learned that the conditions here in the Western Med seem to change frequently -- it is nothing like sailing in the Caribbean with a reliable tradewind from the east. With the swell rolling into the harbor, we decided to get a berth at the Club de Vela in the inner harbor. We walked around the quaint fishing village and tourist outpost and enjoyed a relaxing Sunday lunch at one of the quay-side restaurants. The catch-of-the-day was baked with ali oli, a garlic-mayo sauce which transported Lisa back to Beaver Island in Michigan where the lake trout are cooked in a similar way.
