Return to Gaeta, Italy

Our view of Base Nautica Flavio Gioia from the Gajeta Hotel where we spent the night to watch the U.S. election returns on Nov. 4th.

Location: Gaeta, Italy

Comments: We returned to Italy over the weekend and watched the U.S. presidential inauguration Tuesday on CNN at the Gajeta Hotel in Gaeta with a small group from the hotel and the marina, including several fellow Americans.  Despite what Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi says, everyone else in Italy seems happy to see Obama become the 44th president of the U.S.  After watching the ceremony, we celebrated over Naples-style pizza at nearby Ciro's Restaurant.
